the client The kid-ease brand is founded on the principles of quality and affordability. Kid-ease provides exclusive products to improve the mental and physical wellbeing of children. the brief Imbali Studio tasked us with the branding for their client.

The aim being to position the brand as a “premium brand” with a boutique style quality and compatible pricing. Seeking to give the brand an international quality in comparison to local competitors making it ideal to the consumers in the lsm (lifestyle measure) classes it's targetting. The kid-ease slogan is "for smart choices" hence the branding needed to be clever, intuitive, sophisticated yet still friendly and accessible to the eye.

the result With the visual symbol we sought to show an understanding for the parents role in a childs life. The caring, love, and safety that the parents provide in the relationship. While still giving it an up to date look and feel that is both friendly and mature.

The fusion of the two “e” characters was done in way to give the symbol a puzzle like quality as the two shapes lock together and as a unit forming the shape of the heart. So the symbol combines the very obvious “heart” shape with the less obvious two e’s. Hence its visually very striking and easily memorable while having a second level that needs to be decyfered a little by the viewer. The ties in with the smart and innovative aspects of the brand values.

what they said “I am highly impressed with your work. Not just creatively, but strategically it’s spot on. I have briefed many agencies in the past and never before have any of them absorbed and interpreted my brief as accurately as you have. The logo is beautiful and what I have visualised it to be. I loved the subtle innuendo and sleekness which permeates throughout the various brand elements.”
